Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.

Summary

On Gitlab 17.9.2-ee and 17.9.1-ee self-hosted the Soft Wrap button in the Single File Editor doesn't work anymore, no wrapping is done.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Chose a random file in your repository
  2. Click the blue "Edit" button, and select the "Single file edit" mode
  3. Toggle the wrapping by clicking on "No wrap"
  4. No wrapping happens, even though the button changes to "Soft wrap"

Example Project

No need, observed with every file.

What is the current bug behavior?

When clicking on "No Wrap" there is no wrapping even though the button changes to "Soft wrap".

What is the expected correct behavior?

The code should be displayed with wrapping when this is toggled.
