Link from commit message to issue missing in some cases

Summary

I pushed a commit on the master branch and cherry-picked the same commit to a stable branch. Only for the cherry-picked commit, a link to the issue was created from the commit message. Surprisingly, a day later, the link showed up on the page of the commit. However, in the issue, there is still no link to the commit on master. There is only a mention for the commit on the stable branch.

Here both commits:

• commit on master (no reference in issue)
• cherry-picked commit on branch (reference in issue)

Assumption to be checked: Possibly a bug which only shows for single line commit messages? Or some timing related issue?
