Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.

Release notes

The recently released Kubernetes integration getting started guides offer a set of easy to follow tutorials to set up and learn about the various ways you can use GitLab to deploy your applications to Kubernetes. The tutorials don't require in-depth Kubernetes knowledge to follow, but enable experienced users as well to learn about the integrations GitLab provides directly and through FluxCD.

Together with the tutorials, we released a series of recommendations for integrating GitLab into Kubernetes environments.

Problem to solve

After several user discussions, we think that our Kubernetes integration features are hard to adopt. We would like to tackle this through improved documentation and dedicated tooling.

We recently worked on extending the GitLab CLI with simple bootstrap commands. The tooling support is . We still need to tackle the documentation.

Proposal

  1. Rethink the documentation structure
  2. Add/move/rewrite pages as needed to accommodate the new structure
