New project guidelines block at the wrong place

Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.

I would like to discuss location of the block.

When I use this settings:

I get this as a result

If I didn't use an H1 title, text would almost be mixed with standard text from project type. That's definitely not what we expect if we set a text about "New project guidelines"

Here is the list of issues I notice:

  • Block is floating, reducing the visibility
  • Some parsing does not happen => blockquote is not there, but is correctly rendered with the same code in a Wiki page. (new issue on sight)
  • There is one block, but we have (currently) 3 pages where the block is displayed

My proposal:

Display this block of text on the first new project page (https://gitlab.com/projects/new), between the title and the clickable blocks, cleared as a real block of text to enhance visibility.

Arguments:

  • This page has less text than the others, so it pops out more vividly
  • Since we have the same block of text for all project types, this page seems to fit the goal better

Thank you for your feedback
