💬 Feedback: Project overview page

🐙 Currently enabled for GitLab team members on 2023-12-11, behind feature flag project_overview_reorg

What has changed?

• Quick links, stats, languages, and project description have been moved to a new, dedicated sidebar area
  • Why?
    • The number of quick links/stats was becoming overwhelming
    • The quick links/stats wrapped at odd times depending on screen width
    • The description line-length was too long for easy readability
• Actions (leave project, request access, copy ID) have been moved from the top area to a dropdown on the top right
  • Why?
    • The Copy ID was moved to create a consistent pattern across groups and users
      • Note: This seems to have been used a lot internally; we will be monitoring feedback
      • Decision: Keep the project ID in the overflow menu #434684 (comment 1768529046)
    • The previous Leave project link was directly after the project title. This prominent location isn't something we want to push users to do; it shouldn't be the first action they see when landing on a project page
• Adds a new settings button (cog)
