Problem to solve
Users sometimes work in parallel on the descriptions of merge requests. Custom scripts that for example process newly created MRs items are another player. Because many actions can be completed both by quick actions from the description and also via push options, it's possible that conflicts arise.
Customer example: User accidentally unassigns reviewers which a script assigned while they were editing the descriptions.
Proposal
Either, add to the general Someone edited this …
error message the details about what exactly is conflicting, so that users can resolve it.
Or, upgrade the MR description to auto-sync changes into active editing sessions (like Etherpad, GDocs, etc. do)
