don't understand though why other users can't unlock file (button disabled), while Edit button is active and opens web editor for that locked file 🤔

If you continue to edit the file and try to commit directly to the branch with an error message "denied by custom hooks"

The error message doesn't help the user understand why they can't commit the file directly on the same branch. But the file can be edited on a separate branch
