Some settings are not carried over when creating a project from a group template

When creating a project in the group from a group's own project templates, its files are carried over but only some of the template's settings. I hope I remember them correctly after setting them straight on the new project:

Carried over:

• "Merge method" in "General">"Merge requests"
• "Merge checks" in "General">"Merge requests"
• "Approval settings" in "General">"Merge request approvals"

Not carried over:

• Our rule in "General">"Merge request approvals">"Approval Rules"
• "Allowed to merge" and "Allowed to push" on main (default) in the "Repository">"Protected branches" Fixed in #387014 (closed) (15.8)
• The name of the "CI/CD configuration file". This is especially bad because we have the file in the template project.
