Integration with Azure Boards

Problem to solve
Users are working out of Azure DevOps, but interested in GitLabs CI/CD (verify, package, secure, etc) capabilities, but as teams transition to GitLab would like the ability to link commits and merge requests to Azure boards/work items much like what can be done today with Github:

- Cameron (Compliance Manager)
- Parker (Product Manager)
- Delaney (Development Team Lead)
- Presley (Product Designer)
- Sasha (Software Developer)
User experience goal
The user can create work items and boards within Azure DevOps, have the repo mirrored to GitLab using cicd for external repos link GitLab commits and merge requests to Azure board work items in order to have visibility of work being performed within GitLab from Azure DevOps organization
Proposal
I see that interest has been raised on the MFST side as well: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/add-azure-boards-integration-with-gitlab/1327603, but know this would require a partnership between MFST (Closed source) and GitLab (Open Source) to implement
