Follow-up from "Revise UI to better explain file templates"

The tl;dr of this thread from !70315 (merged): when looking at these areas in the admin UI:

• Settings → General → Templates (for groups)
• Admin Area → Settings → Templates (for instances

the TWs struggled to understand the difference between "Custom project templates" and "Templates". Consider renaming one or both. See below for ideas. I'm not sure how far-reaching the changes would be - would files need to be renamed? tests fixed? other surprises?

  • This merge request was hard because I didn't understand the difference between "Custom project templates" and "Templates" in the UI, and the docs didn't clear up my confusion.
  • I think a possible MVC would be to rename the "Templates" dropdown in the admin UI to be more descriptive. Some ideas:
    • Custom templates for projects and Custom templates for files
    • Custom project templates and Custom file templates
    • Project templates and File templates
  • I have ZERO idea how disruptive and invasive such a change would be. I'm hoping you can tell me.
