Secure & Defend Configuration Section Updates

Background

Almost every group within devopssecure and ~"devops::defend" are working on updates to the configuration section in %13.0. Since our designs are iterative and based on the latest available design we've encountered a blindspot in this area.

Issues impacting this area:

Suggested changes

note I've pulled in all the designs from the above issues into one mock. This is by no means final, instead think of this as a representation of what the configuration area will look like after 13.0.

IA Changes

In #207322 (closed) we identified the need to add a new section for Defend features called Monitoring & Response. This caused a ripple effect that led to the need for minor changes to headers and subheaders.

Proposed changes to the overall page:

  • New subsection and section title for Testing & Compliance where scanners and compliance features live.
    • New subheader for Testing & Compliance that replaces the blue alert banner. No text change.
    • Row headers for these features changed from Feature to Security Control. Security control is an industry term to define these features which is consistent with how we talk about features in terms of configuring/enabling.
  • Apply projects settings content section per: .settings-content

Changes occurring in related 13.0 issues

  • Change configured to enabled
  • Secret Scanning added as a new list item
  • New subsection for Monitoring & Response
  • New subsection for Auto-fix Vulnerabilities
