Checkout in desktop client

We're moving to Gitlab from JIRA + Bitbucket. One feature I miss much is "Checkout in SourceTree" button. Bitbucket has SourceTree's custom protocol support so after the branch is created from issue you can checkout it with one click. Each team may have their own favorite client, but the difference is only in the URL structure.

I'd vote to add "checkout in desktop client" support to GitLab.

Proposal

• Each user may select their preferred desktop client from a list in their preferences
• If set, the appropriate button would be shown
