Unique constraints vs Unique indexes

In gitlab.com some unique indexes were added as unique constraints. This is functionally equivalent except when it comes error messages and what happens when the index is dropped. It may not be worth bringing this into sync but if it's easy it may be cheap insurance against future surprises.
