Bug: Spherical panoramas with COG are resource intensive

Summary

When loading any COG with geotiffSource on a Spherical panorama the cpu usage gets really intensive. And when something else is loaded like a pointcloud it often go to 100% utilisation of my cpu. Update: CPU maxed out only happens when we use the COMPRESS tag at COG creation. But there is still some frame drops.

Steps to reproduce

  1. change the default jpg image in the 360 example by a COG the bigger the cog the more likely to max out your cpu ( The one I used for testing purpose if it can helpcat.tif)
  2. move your mouse around and you should see your cpu usage going up and depending on the case frame drops could be observed too

Expected behaviour

Not as much resource consumption for one image

Actual behaviour

A lot of resource used

Informations

  • Giro3D version: running from main
  • Browser Chrome, Arc
  • OS MacOS, Windows
  • tif converted with gdal, I set the epsg as 4326, tried with compress JPEG and no COMPRESS, tried with Tile blocksize set to 512 and with default settings, TILED is set to yes and for overview I tried with 2,4,8,16 and 2,4,8,16,32.
