Add a changelog in markdown for easy overview of Mpm changes

Gitlab provides a CHANGELOG.md format, which makes it easy to list overall changes in Mpm. List major improvements and changes through releases v1.5 - v1.3. Older releases are too far back to be relevant.

Backport to MASTER, then continue to add entries as development continues for V2.0.
