Canned
Canned is a narrative RPG game following Penny, whose teacher takes her class to a corn canning factory for what was supposed to be an educational field trip. No one knew what sinister secrets lay beneath the factory.
With Canned, we decided to follow both themes, ‘Pigs’ and ‘Everything Has a Cost.” While it is obvious how we were able to show pigs in our game with our main characters being pigs, we also wanted to include the second theme in a more nuanced way. With choices in the story making a big impact on which of the various endings you could receive, even the smallest choice has a cost. Something as small as not picking up an item can drastically change everything. We also wanted to show that while some options may seem easier, the cost they take can be much greater and leave the player with guilt.
We truly hope you enjoy playing the game we worked so hard on! Thank you!

Very neat short, simple, and straightforward 2d suspense adventure puzzle game, with some really silly main endings. I’m a sucker for pixel arts so I can say awesome job on that one, a chef kiss for that. The art for the animal hybrid/animal people designs are really pretty good-amazing too.
Pretty good game. I hope to see more in the future.
Great videos! Not a lot of people managed to find the first (true) ending and I'm really happy you did! Thank you for playing, and huge credit to my team members for the great visuals, music and story writing!
