You're now the lead writer for Juno's World, a perfectly normal sitcom in which nothing strange or horrible happens, ever!
We're so happy you've chosen permanent employment. Management has infinite faith in your ability to steer our production team towards our mysterious and important endgame. You'll be guiding four teenagers -- Juno, Cat, Daniel, and Remy -- through the trials and travails of high school life.
Using our patented "Ratings(tm)" system, you'll make decisions that keep them entertainingly unhappy! But not too unhappy, or they'll break. But also not too relaxed, or they'll fight back. We can't have that, no! How will we ever reach syndication if the entire project collapses?

How long does it take to play? TY!
Takes about 3-4 hours for a standard run without skipping anything.
To me, this game had the right amount of funny and heartbreaking moments, and for a free game, it's especially good! I grew to love the characters, and the cast was def amazing!
I'm all for gau people (i mean im dating a trans man myself), and all for the rebellious messaging. And stylistically, its got good ideas. There were definitely a few jokes that landed pretty well here and there, but god damn is this game uninteresting.
I think the game is a good in concept, but the execution is just... Meh. This is the kind of game right wingers joke about left wingers making.
Bounced hard off the "you're doing the pronouns thing" quote, and didn't continue. I meet enough of those types in real life, and I don't need them in my fiction unless I get the chance to tell them to pound sand.
There is probably room for a debate on 'escapist fiction' versus awareness messaging, but I so rarely find games that just let me exist without reservation, it gets tiresome to continually exist, even in fiction, as political.
Just my two cents.

Our game Penny Larceny: Gig Economy Supervillain was shadowbanned here on Itch. So yeah, got a bit of an axe to grind.
I hope that eventually the governments and corporations will learn not to antagonize small artists and the platforms that help them.

I see ballpoints over materials like this, i imagine a game called luagh track that i linked a donwload for here for you guys to colect and make a real game out of if you want. or heres a tutorial (LINK) to using my ballpoints for teh whoel game take care i lvoed playing this on my thatindiegamer chanel but ill admit for some reason i played it as a blackout cheers

wonderful game!
It's insane how Total Drama Island-coded this looks, despite using a vastly different art style from Total Drama Island. I also got vibes of Gravity Falls and Drawn Together, though those were mostly more thematic.
It just oozes that era of western animation. Good job! 😁
Played this (and left a review) on steam, but i just wanted to say-- phenomenal work as always.

was just about to report an error, thank you for updating it so quickly! it now runs great on Debian 12 (Linux).
Update: I've only gotten one ending so far, but just from that this is quickly shaping up to be a classic, with a deft blend of comedy and commentary.
Update 2: Finished the game, still awesome. I admit to disappointment that there is no zero rating or max rating "bad ending" (it just won't let you go that low/high), but it's a free game so I can't really complain.
