A downloadable game for Windows

Liftwell

Is a first-person psychological exploration game set inside a decaying elevator system that connects fragments of forgotten memories.

You wake up alone in an endless building where each floor reflects a piece of your past,  distorted, looping, and filled with traces of someone you might have been. The elevator seems to have a mind of its own, deciding where to take you next.

Search for clues, interact with subtle environmental details, and piece together what really happened.

Every flicker of light, every creak of metal, every floor you visit. It all means something. But will you ever reach the top, or keep falling through the same memories forever?

I hope some items can be added to the game, such as banana. Cuz i love banana! Good job Finn

I get stuck at the drawer with the picture in it. It doesn't register as finished, so when I'm pulled back, that arrow still remains at the drawer, and I can't continue the game. That paper I picked up on the drawer, reappears when I click the left mouse button. Any ideas?

Hi Finn! Interesting game. I enjoyed it.

interesting game, I have never tried indie horror games, this was suggested by a friend. Overall story and vibe was nice, definitely more area to improve on but love the foundation. Keep up the good work.

Thank you all for playing! commenting, and supporting the game. Liftwell is still in development, and I’ll be working through your feedback and polishing it in future updates.

I've been playing indie horror games since slender came out and Liftwell (at least at this state) is poorly made.

I know dev put their minds and effort, but it just doesn't click for me.

For the improvements, I would add subtitles, try not to layer the words of the characters, add main menu and settings option and mainly fix the reaccuring notes/comments of the character on them.

Not a great material for a indie horror game vid, but still here is my walkthrough.

Thank you for taking the time to play Liftwell and for writing such an honest comment, and also for recording a walkthrough even though the game didn’t really click for you. This is my first project made in Unreal Engine, so there are still a lot of rough edges, and feedback like yours is very valuable for me!

The points you mentioned – adding subtitles, avoiding overlapping voice lines, including a main menu and settings, and fixing the recurring note comments – are all very helpful and I agree they’re important issues to address. I’ll be working on improving this build and using what I learn here to make better games in the future.

Nice little horror game with a cool underlying storyline

Such a fun and interesting game, cannot stop once I started playing.

Thanks for sharing this with us! Unfortunately the endings crash on each choice. Here is my playthrough and some notes I had on the game. Very well done overall, just a few fixes and should be good to go! Keep up the hard work

Thank you for taking the time to play Liftwell and for leaving such thoughtful reviews. I really appreciate you pointing out the issue with the endings, I’m aware that there are still a number of parts that need refinement, and the crash during the choice sequence is now at the top of my list to fix.

This is my first project built in Unreal Engine, so I’m still learning a lot through trial and error. Your notes will be very helpful as I continue improving the game and preparing future updates!! Thank you so much!

Cant get rid of first note I pick up.

Thanks for the heads-up! I’ve noticed that issue with the first note too and I’m working on a fix. Really appreciate you checking out the game and letting me know.
