A Canadian film actor. He gained experience acting in the Pasadena Playhouse and appeared in over two hundred films. He moved to California, USA, to pursue his film career and graduated from Hollywood High School, then the University of Southern California, where he continued his stage acting. His most notable films include College Humor (1933), College Rhythm (1934), The Westerner (1934), and The Informer (1935).
