He was also the president and chief executive officer of the Aspen Institute and became the chairman and CEO of CNN in 2001. He wrote many biographies of figures such as Henry Kissinger, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, and Steve Jobs. His credits include Steve Jobs (2015) and Genius (2017).
