He also joined the second class of film school at El Nahda Association for Scientific and Cultural Renaissance (Jesuit Cairo) in 2007, where he learned low-cost filmmaking at the hands of director Karim Hanafy, who later became his close friend and the director of The Gate of Departure, the first film, in which he starred, and on which they worked for five years or more . The film also won the cinematography award at the 2014 Cairo Film Festival. The short feature film Cake with Cream was his graduation project in 2008. The film won several awards, including the Silver Falcon Award at the Arab Film Festival in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. After graduating from the Film School, he worked with the Center for Refugee and Immigration Studies of the American University, and directed the documentary film To the Sea, which participated in the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival 2009. After several short films and various acting workshops for theater and cinema, he participated in the movie Birds of the Nile (2009), which was directed by his father, Majdy Ahmad Ali, and was based on the novel of the same name by the great writer Ibrahim Aslan, and the film won many awards. The following year, he participated in the award-winning film Microphone directed by Ahmed Abdallah. As for television, he participated in many series, such as The Testament (The Permissible Speech), and The Preacher.
