Is the fixed appearance permanent? The guy looks like a fly humanized.
Is it normal that when i choose what cryptid i would be if i could, the game literally crashes in all options??? I play in the android version.
Does i need to go on another version or is just my cell phone saying no to me?
I NEED more madhouse content I am going insane from the lack fanart or fanfiction of him it genuinely is so annoying having to resort to exclusively making up fake scenarios in my head as fun as it is

I downloaded it and thought nothing of this game, going in blind.
It totally won me over with madhouse mike..
But not only him, the whole game mechanics with the dice, the different character designs and storyline mixing together, building to this moment of a total cliffhanger..! I'd say good job with what you've made.
I also loovvee the soundtrack for fighting etc.(≧▽≦)
I'm literally sad over a game not having any new updates.. Can't even believe I'm writing all this, but 'Cryptid Crush' is probably my top 2025 'unfinished' game I tested.
Pretty sure it would get the top spot over all the other visual novels as well when finished, but that's a thought for the future.

Words can not describe how much this game caught me by surprise (incredibly positive). The art is so nice to look at and the characters!! augh!!! the characters!! they're all so intriguing and fun to ponder in their own ways!! their designs rock!! every time a new character gets introduced you just cant help but start to like them after a bit.
Also the gravitational pull of mike is a real thing and it terrifies me. but this ain't about him.
There's so much happening just in the first few chapters which leaves you with so much to chew on and rotate around like a precious cube for a while. It's so fun!!
Really appreciate that as far as the story goes it doesn't force you to like, flirt with any of the characters. That may be a weird thing to say but please know that I do appreciate there being options to create different kind of bonds other than romantic ones, if that makes sense? Anyways-
I could keep going on and on honestly, so to summerize: this game is really really cool, absolutely adore the story and the little details. Hope the entire team who worked on this have a wonderful day! Take care! :]

I've played chapter 0 and it's amazing. I'm planning on waiting for the game to fully release. This game is so underrated and not known so I hope in the future it will have a bigger fanbase! This game deserves it! :D
I found it somewhat interesting. I like the characters, the art, and the soundtrack. The design is very charming.
From what I've gathered from one blind playthrough and two fast-forwarded playthroughs where I chose different options, Cryptid Crush is a kinetic novel with just a faint fragrance of dating elements. You're given choices, but as far as I've seen, there isn't anything that has a significant impact on the story. Choosing a different option maybe gets you a new crumb of world building, but ultimately just leads to the same places.
In the existing content, character interaction also feels very heavily skewed towards Madhouse and August. Madhouse is attached to your phone so he's in almost every scene chiming in, and there's quite a lot of 1 on 1 scenes with him even if you completely ignore every interaction with him. August is the only one that you're given the explicit option to flirt with, and similarly, if you ignore every interaction with him you'll still get shoved into the same 1 on 1 scenes with him regardless. Neither really goes anywhere in the existing content.
For everyone else there's a few scenes of either meetings or friendly hangouts that are quick and shallow. One such meeting in Chapter 1 with Jamie at their day job just has a rough line-art placeholder still despite chapter 2 being released and chapter 1 having been out for almost three years. After the first run it's very apparent that attention has not been equally distributed between the characters.

Based on the past release frequency, unless the next two chapters really go hard on the dating elements it's probably going to be another 3-4 years minimum before there's any substance to this game as a dating sim.
As someone who's here *for* Madhouse and August (they're visually similar to some of the artist's OCs, and I follow them on bsky), I fully agree with everything you're saying but can't bring myself to feel it as a negative. I literally didn't notice, I thought I was just getting really lucky with the dialogue 💀

played through chapter 0 and like half of chapter 1, gotta say im really loving this so far! i always liked ttrpgs and stuff and combining this with my lastest interest visual novels i am so excited to see where this is going
