National Guard lava response

National Guard Soldiers and Airmen on State Active Duty are welcomed to training for task force response, the Hawaii National Guard domestic operations assistance to the Puna District of Hawaii Island. The Hawaii National Guard was asked to support civil authorities and will conduct security operations. 

Yesterday, Governor Abercrombie conducted an aerial assessment of the Puna Lava flow on a Hawaii Army National Guard blackhawk helicopter.  After landing, He meet with several Pahoa residents.
