How do I delete a Beta version?

It seems that I have downloaded iOS 26 as a Beta version when I did not realise. How can I delete it and revert back to an operational version?

What makes you think you have installed the Beta exactly? It can hardly happen by mistake, it's an involved process.

The current Beta is 26.1, if you have 26.0 or 26.0.1 then it's probably not the Beta.

Make sure the Beta option is turned off in Settings ➜ General ➜ Software Update.

If you posted about issues with a beta version , yes it would have been removed by the moderators, as Beta issues cannot be discussed here.

Only removal instructions can be posted.

At this point the only Beta version is as mentioned 26.1.

If it is a beta, you can remove it, but you won't be able to to return to iOS 18 anymore. Only 26.0.1 non-beta, which is the current non-beta public release.

If it is not a beta, then there's no way to go back now to anything else.

I posted that I had downloaded iOS 26 and found it awful and wanted to switch to a prior version and Apple deleted the post saying it discussed a Beta version. I have 26.0.1.

I really wish I had gone from 17 to 18. This version is rubbish.

Hilariously my original response was deleted because it was critical of Apple! I understood this wasn’t operated by them?

Anyway, are there any tips on how to move search bars back to the top where it used to be and how I can have various username and password options appear when I hit the key symbol when at a log in screen?

Also, any tips on battling the severe battery drain I’m experiencing since installing 26?

Apple pay the rent, they have their rules that you agreed to on creating the username.

If you had indeed installed a beta you would have had to agree not to discuss it anywhere.

There is no way to change the position of the search bar. You only have control over the size and position of the URL bar in Safari.

If by search bar you mean the URL/Search bar in Safari, go to Settings -> Apps -> Safari and in the Tabs section, adjust things to your preference.
