BBC News App not sounding since IOS 26 upgrade

Has anyone had the issue of the BBC News app not sounding when there is a newsflash since upgrading to IOS 26. (I have 17pro Max) I have checked all the notification settings and they are all correct I have also deleted BBC News app and then reinstalling it… seems to then work once only. I have done several forced restarts and nothing is correcting the issue. All worked fine before on previous IOS. I contacted Apple who didn’t seem to know either.

The same thing is happening on my husbands phone and his is not new but upgraded to IOS 26

BYW do you both wear apple watches? That would cause it.

It will have little clout if the reports are not in the hundreds.

You can also report it direct to the developers through App Store. A one star review usually digs them in the ribs too.

no it works on my SE3, in fact I deleted the app because it annoyed me.

If your settings are turned on for the app then do a third party app bug report https://apple.com/feedback

Yes but might be an idea for you to report it as well. May have more clout if more people report it. Hope there will be a fix

Thank you for suggestion to post a bug report. I’m having same issue. I’m sure Apple appreciates knowing these things, even though minor.
