Get rid of texts box with arrows and check mark

how do I turn off the feature that pops up a long box (with up and down arrows to jump between text fields, and a check mark on the right)? whenever I’m typing text in an app, it pops up now and it blocks my view. Annoying! Can’t find anything in accessibility to turn this off.
