New iPhone 17 Pro Max Crashing Constantly

Immediately after unboxing and turning on the phone, I got to the data transfer from my old phone, started that process and after about 2 mins the iPhone 17 crashes and reboots itself, tried a few more times still crashed after the same amount of time. I then tried to set it up as a new iPhone without transferring anything, was able to complete the setup, went to do a software update, and again it crashes repeatedly when trying to update. Even just turning on the phone after a certain amount of time it will crash and restart. I've force reset it with the volume button up down and power button and still crashes after the same amount of time.

Any help, I'd like to hope this isn't a defective phone, but I can't even do a software update so I'm stuck.

I had this happen to me after a week of no issues.

To get past the restart loop I plugged my iPhone 17 Pro Max into a 65W power supply (on a hint I found on the internet). I was able to get past the reboot cycle using a 25W brick but it was laggy and would crash if I tried to do too much too quickly, so I thought more power might do the trick and it did.

While plugged in I went through the logs and found 2 issues that stood out to me.

There was an error in the Restart Event logs which stated "rst uv_cp_uvlo" which basically means the A19 wasn't getting enough power under load

In the JetSam even logs I found a bug code which suggested it was flooding the backboardd.

I turned on the reduced motion setting (Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion) and set my screen to 60fps and the phone hasn't crashed since.

Looking forward to this being patched... 60fps on pro motion screen is sad times.

its worth noting, that I woke up this morning and the phone was completely dead. I have got a refund as there is no stock for direct replacement and I now have to wait until end of october. The phone didn't boot up or respond to their diagnostic tool so I can't say for sure what caused all of this. Back to the old model until stock arrives *Sad iphone 12 noises*

I truly believe that apple have gone downhill in the past few years ! How is it even possible they release faulty software , untested i.e. IOS 26 this update alone destroyed my 15 pro and 17 pro is stuck in a restart loop as I write ...ridiculous. The customer service told me earlier today that I shouldnt listen to anything you guys write here that athese are lies. LOL
