Reviews policy
decoded.legal is not on any sites where people review solicitors
decoded.legal does not have an intentional presence on any sites which enable people to review solicitors.
I say "intentional" because, nevertheless, some sites which enable people review solicitors have a page about decoded.legal.
Tread with caution, as some of them are laughably wrong.
One site which lets people review solicitors says that:
We ... specialize in a wide range of practice areas, such as Oil and Gas, Planning, Projects, Transport, and a range of other legal specializations.
I guess it is correct, if grammatically questionable, to say that we specialize [sic] in "other legal specializations", since it would be hard - especially hard, perhaps - to specialise in something which was not a specialisation.
But we certainly don't specialise in Oil and Gas, Planning, Projects, or Transport.
I've no idea from where they got, or generated, that.
Please don't ask us questions about any of these things.
Our expertise is in Internet, telecoms, and tech law.
Another review site suggests that we are not taking on new work through their website.
And they are right that we are not taking on work through their website - why would we, when we have our own website, and take on work directly?
We see zero value in involving a middle man in the relationship.
Amusingly, there are sites which enable people to review sites which enable people to review solicitors, and some of the sites which enable people to review solicitors do not get very good reviews themselves...
Reviews on our website
If you want to see nice things that our clients have said about us, we have littered our website with some of the many lovely things people have said.
We update these from time to time (i.e. when Neil remembers to do it).
Word of mouth recommendations
The vast majority of our work comes from one of two sources, or a combination of the two:
-
word of mouth recommendations
-
our Internet presence
We are so pleased when a client recommends us, and that's worth any number of anonymous online reviews.
Similarly, if you've found our blog to be of use, then that's great - we're happy to share useful information freely.
Talk to us!
Even if you don't know someone who has already worked with us, to sound them out, you can always sound us out directly, yourself.
We have a plain English guide on hiring us and if you've worked through that, and think that we might be a good fit for you, please do contact us.
If we think we can help - and we might not be able to do so, if what you want isn't up our street, or if we are simply too snowed under to take on new work - then we'll be happy to have a chat with you.
You can ask us whatever questions you want, to get a feel for us, how we work, and what we do.
That initial chat is not a high-pressure sales exercise, but simply a chance for you to see if you fancy working with us, and vice versa.
You can give us feedback at any time
It's always nice to hear when things have gone well.
It's always valuable to hear when they have not.
So whether you just want to say positive things, or if you've got some constructive feedback, please do say.
You can email us or, if you prefer, you can use our feedback form.
