Crowns on Aceh weapons revisited Ethnographic Weapons

DAGGER Long and wide, straight, double-edged blade, with central fuller, base with undulated border, decorated on one side with finest golden lily, and with antique warrior's bust with plumed helmet on the other, fuller engraved with floral motifs, sides decorated with etched inscriptions "RE F IV" on one side and "D.D. SICILIE" on the other, framed with floral motifs on a dark background. Naples, Italy, early 19th century, length 59.5 cm.

[#Claudio]. HUNTING DAGGER. Triangular, double-edged blade with double groove, tang chiselled with a bird with prey and rooster; wooden grip embossed with spirals with brass ring-nut and iron cap. Leather scabbard with brass, engraved chape (the cap is missing). Southern Italy, 19th century, length 33 cm.
