TCG Star
Introducing TCG Star! Made entirely on our phones and tablets, enjoy a relaxing game about ripping open packs of trading cards to collect all the rarities. Can you find the secret rare?

So we thought we wouldn’t be able to participate in Ludum Dare 58 since we were traveling internationally AND didn’t have our computers. However we were able to find a way to squeeze in a day for a quick jam (yay jetlag)! It helped that we scoped a super simple incremental game experience when we saw the theme, Collector.
@strega had to learn GDevelop Mobile for this, and our musician was unavailable so @rosypenguin had to make all the sounds. Pixelart done with Pixquare. We were out of our comfort zones but had a blast

This is absolutely amazing, especially the art.
I got a secret rare 2nd Pack! Really cool, nice cosy game!
it's funny how the rarity upgrade sort of takes away the fun part of opening card packs. There's no such thing as rare anymore. XD
the text on the buttons are spilling out making it hard to read, other than that its amazing, i love the sound effects
Hmm we had another player report the same text spilling bug, are you playing on Firefox?
Same issue here, Firefox 142
is there anything higher than ultra rare?
secret rare
The soud effects are chill
hmmmm... GAMBLING
I'm always super excited when the Cosmic Adventure Squad release a new game!
Are you partaking in LD58 atm as well?
yup, this is for Ludum
Ah sorry if I was silly for not realising!
Also yay, glad to see you guys again! <3
no worries! We had to do a much smaller game this time around, so it’s not up to our usual polish.
Better than how I'm doing heh.
It looks real pretty but no real gameplay. I way-over scoped!
I think I'll have to wait and release it when its in a much more finished state.
I did try to rush together a version with a short, offline gameplay loop, but alas.
Very cool little game. I somehow managed to get an ultra rare on my third pull. To me it seems like the rarity upgrade doesn't seem to do all that much.
it takes a bit for the upgrades to be worth while, but you’ll definitely feel it at high levels :)
A very nice approach to making a tiny idler/incremental game. Great work!
