It was Denmark's largest work of art when artist Elle-Mie Ejdrup created a 532 km long line of laser light along the war bunkers on the Danish west coast on May 4, 1995. The initiative also triggered a historic shit storm. Former resistance fighters, top politicians and the press fought fiercely to stop the event from happening.
