Erotic thriller Blurred starring Guy Pearce, Alex Pettyfer and Maria Pedraza to debut at the EFM
- Directed by Ben Cookson, the film promises to blend seduction and suspense as it explores the high-stakes world of New York’s fashion industry
The upcoming erotic thriller Blurred, starring Oscar-nominated actor Guy Pearce, Alex Pettyfer and Maria Pedraza, and directed and written by Ben Cookson, wrapped production in the UK last summer and will soon be presented to international buyers at the European Film Market (EFM) (13-19 February) at the Berlinale.
Blurred follows characters as they navigate the high-risk, often perilous terrain of the fashion world, where secrets and deception are ever-present. While details remain scarce, Blurred is marketed as a “smart and sexy thriller”.
The film boasts an intriguing ensemble cast. Australian star Guy Pearce, renowned for his roles in Memento and L.A. Confidential, and his recent Oscar-nominated performance in The Brutalist [+see also:

film profile], plays a central role. British actor Alex Pettyfer, known for Magic Mike and The Strange Ones [+see also:

film profile], is also on board. Spanish actress Maria Pedraza, best known for the series Money Heist and her recent appearance in El correo, also stars. British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Suicide Squad, Marlowe), completes the cast. British filmmaker Ben Cookson previously directed Waiting for Anya.
The film is now poised for international sales, with Cloud9 Studios overseeing distribution at the EFM.
Blurred is a British-Bulgarian co-production produced by Alex Pettyfer and James Ireland through their company Dark Dreams Entertainment, alongside Yariv Lerner from Film Forage, who has a rich history of working on major action films like Hellboy and Rambo: Last Blood. The project is executive produced by Pia Patatian for Cloud9 Studios.
