The 5th D'A Film Lab Barcelona selects 26 Spanish projects
- The new works by sisters Marina and Carol Rodríguez Colás, David Moragas, Jaume Claret Muxart, Andrés Goteira, Nerea Castro, Salvador Sunyer and Anxos Fazáns are among the selected works
D’A - Barcelona Film Festival has announced the 26 projects chosen to participate in the fifth edition of its programme to promote emerging film talent, the D'A Film Lab Barcelona, which will take place in Barcelona from 30 March to 2 April.
Those selected in Final Cut, a competitive section aimed at projects in the post-production stage that compete for the D'A Film Lab Barcelona Award of 20,000 euros to promote the completion of the film, are: The Gang, directed by sisters Marina and Carol Rodríguez Colás, who made their debut with Chavalas [+see also:

The D'A Film Lab Award jury is made up of Sandra Tapia (producer and partner at Arcadia Motion Pictures), Francesca Palleschi (deputy director of MIA Market Rome and head of Alliance4Development at Locarno Film Festival); and Ewa Szabłowska (head of programming at the New Horizons Festival in Poland).
The Emerging Production section, dedicated to promoting films in the development phase, will feature fourteen projects: De Fang, directed by Anna Llargués (whose short film Trenc d’Alba premiered in La Cinef section at Cannes); Las manos quietas by the editor Víctor Diago; Los fines de semana by the resident at the Spanish Film Academy Alícia Moncholí; Foresta a non-fiction by Adrià Expòsit-Goy (his short film Mater Inerta premiered at Visions du Réel); Cara sucia by Ignacio Acconcia (El niño de fuego); Monstro by Andrés Goteira (Dhogs [+see also:

Finally, the Panorama Catalunya section will feature four Catalan-produced feature films in their original version in Catalan in post-production: The Culprits, the non-fiction by Marta Duran Lozano; Siemprevivas, by journalist Mar López Zapata; Tanit, a fiction film by Pep Garrido; and the documentary Al-Buhayra, by the duo Lucas Moro and Manuel Rossell.
The projects selected for the laboratory will take part in an intensive four-day programme in which they will work in depth on aspects such as financing, co-production, sustainability, diversity, internationalisation, audience development and the distribution and sale of the projects.
