On 25 February, as part of their international promotional campaign, actors Noah Huntley, Victoria Ekanoye, and Richard Ashton, alongside Daniel Coll, head of Picture Point Films, who is producing and directing the series, presented Falcon at MIP London. With four episodes to be shot over the next summer, the project will delve into a web of power struggles, deception, and covert operations in the Mediterranean, drawing inspiration from classic spy thrillers and blending international espionage with contemporary themes. The set-up of the show aims to reach a large audience: “with a cinematic style reminiscent of James Bond and The Da Vinci Code, Falcon is poised to attract both mainstream audiences and dedicated fans of the spy thriller genre”.

The series follows Greg Falcon (Huntley), who, whilst vacationing in Malta, stumbles upon a dark and sinister online scheme, with a lot of risks attached to it. He is assisted by Professor Victoria Bassey (Ekanoye) in uncovering a complex plot that dates back almost two thousand years, all while facing a megalomaniac enemy, Hector Laidlaw (Peter Andre).

Daniel Coll has spent part of his career in acting roles, both in theatre and audiovisual productions (Braveheart, Northern Soul, Emmerdale). The Tragedy of Macbeth represented his film directorial debut in 2012. British actor Noah Huntley has starred in several films and TV series, including The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, 28 Days Later, and Dracula: The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Victoria Ekanoye is famous for playing Angie Appleton in Coronation Street, The Royals, and Death in Paradise. Finally, Richard Ashton is best known for his roles in Vikings: Outlander and Doctor Who

Coll commented on his efforts: “We are very excited about Falcon. It's a brilliant, fast paced family thriller series that combines thrills, intrigue and drama with two fantastic lead actors combined with rich character actors that will keep the audience enthralled. Malta is a super backdrop for our series and the screen industry along with Screen Malta and Malta Tourism Authority have proved to be a super ally in helping Picture Point move from script to screen”.

Ekanoye added: “Falcon is simply brilliant! Incredibly excited to get my teeth sunk into being Professor of Antiquities… Quite possibly my most exciting role to date! We have a wonderful team and are shooting in the beautiful Malta and Gozo, so it’s already so rich in culture and visually stunning. Fully back on my feet, after a gruelling battle with cancer, feeling stronger than ever and ready to put my red stiletto back on the gas!”

At MIP London, the team discussed global sales, distribution partnerships and future collaborations, introducing the project to broadcasters, distributors and investors.
