) and Mathilde Belin, the story revolves around 35-year-old Audrey who manages the dairy produce department of a retail chain called Derval in Normandy. She also helps out her brother a few times a week, who’s bravely taken on the family farm. Like him, Audrey is a fervent advocate for local, organic produce. Spotted by Claire Roussel, Derval’s Head of Purchasing, Audrey is asked to join the company’s central purchasing department in Paris. She accepts, convinced that she can drive change from within and determined to promote fairer practices. However, upon joining, she comes face to face with Fournier, a ruthless veteran of the negotiating table. As Audrey struggles to defend the interests of local suppliers, including her brother, she finds herself navigating a system which challenges her values. Will her newfound ambition be realised at the cost of the ideals she’s always fought for?

La guerre des prix is being produced by Laurence Méoc on behalf of Les Films de Jeanne (the firm’s first feature film) and by Aurélie Trouvé-Rouvière for La Filmerie, in co-production with France 3 Cinéma. Pre-purchased by Canal+, Ciné+ and France Télévisions, the feature film also enjoys support from the Normandy region, as well as from the SOFICA companies Cofimage and SG Images. The six-and-a-half-week film shoot unfolded in Île-de-France and Normandy with Pierre Dejon (Acide [+see also:
