A goal of mine is to learn how to draw my own illustrations using my Affinity Designer software to create my own style and portfolio. I think it’d be really fun to submit something to Unsplash as well! Here are a few favorites from the free license:
I love Robb’s theme NeonKnight - hot pink.
I’m finally setting up a profile for my name - a work in progress. It’s refreshing to just have a website and no real big social media - no “branding” to worry about for interests or hobbies. I think that’s what has poisoned my personal username all of these years. With livestreaming and online hobbies, social media started to make me feel like I needed to stay on those sites. I still am, but that’s a different version of me. This is a breathe of fresh air so I’ll see how it goes for a while.
Time to figure out what I want to do next in my career. I needed a space to make a prescence online with my name, and held onto this domain for over a year, without an idea of what to do with it. I decided to set up a blog with Pika since it’s so nice to write with, and has great features, as well as use my preferred name Chas (the name I used growing up with family and close friends), and leave my corporate name behind (Liz).
I also wanted a space that is seperate to my personal online handle, to have a more “professional” presence on the internet (whatever that means). I vow to become more artistic, creative, and happy in my career and promise myself that I wouldn’t go back to my old IT field of corporate sadness that I was in many years ago (that caused my burnout).
I hate AI and love the small, old, weird, indie web. I will stay here, and get involved with more projects that stay true to human creativity in technology, hardware, gaming, art, photography, and all of the hobbies that I’ve ever loved.
