The project course is done as a collaboration between IED Barcelona, UPC, ESADE Barcelona and IdeaSquare. What if humanity could start everything from scratch? What would we do differently? In this program we are lifting our lenses from Earth and traveling to an earth-like exoplanet to envision how a society might function there with a focus on circularity in industry and environment.
By making order of magnitude calculations and systemic impact assessments, the students will be able to look at societal systems in a holistic and comprehensive manner. This perspective will allow participants to consider possible ripple effects or unintended consequences of our actions and ideas.
Through interplanetary scenario building, we speculate possible futures and then reflect how we can translate these into real-world interventions.
