RED-BILLED PARROT Pionus sordidus. This wild Red-billed Parrot was photographed in the top of a Guaba tree (genus Inga) in Mindo in northwestern Ecuador at 7:21 AM on January 21, 2016. A variable sized group of these parrots were in this Guaba tree at our house for over a half hour and were feeding on both the pulp and seeds contained within the long pendant seed pods.
