Bugzilla – Bug 919007
VUL-0: CVE-2015-2041: kernel: Incorrect data type in llc2_timeout_table
Last modified: 2016-02-08 14:52:17 UTC
The timeout entries are sizeof(int) rather than sizeof(long), which means that when they were getting read we'd also leak kernel memory to userspace along with the timeout values. Fix: http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=6b8d9117ccb4f81b1244aafa7bc70ef8fa45fc49 References: http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2015-2041 http://seclists.org/oss-sec/2015/q1/623

1. Does this BUG affect on SLES10 SPx? 2. If affect, could we provide the fix on SLES10 SPx? 3. The huawei customer, who has the LTSS service on SLES10 SPx will need this fix.
(In reply to Xuan ke Han from comment #5) > 1. Does this BUG affect on SLES10 SPx? Comment 2. > 2. If affect, could we provide the fix on SLES10 SPx? > 3. The huawei customer, who has the LTSS service on SLES10 SPx will need > this fix. This is a question for Petr Tesarik (put on CC)
SLE12 got the fix via 3.12.41 stable update. Pushed to SLE11-SP3, openSUSE-13.1 and openSUSE-13.2
cherry-picked to SLE11-SP3-TD
