What is Buda?
Buda (Boundless Universal Drive-based Agent) is an AI Agent platform that lives inside your Drive—built for Operations, HR, Legal, and Admin teams who spend their days managing files.
Buda understands file structure, relationships, and context—so you can ask questions and get answers grounded in your actual company files. You can also run AI Agents with tools like Browser, Terminal, and Git for more advanced automation.
Who is Buda for?
Buda is built for non-technical professionals who live in files:
- Operations / Admin: Company docs, vendor contracts, office management
- HR / People Ops: Policies, employee contracts, past cases
- Legal / Legal Assistants: Contracts, NDAs, risk analysis

Do I need AI expertise to use Buda?
No. Buda is built for non-technical users. Just connect your Drive and start asking questions.
No prompts to write. No knowledge base to maintain. No AI training required.
Privacy & Security
Does Buda modify my files?
No. Buda only reads your files (read-only access). It never modifies, deletes, or moves your files.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Buda:
- Uses read-only access to your Drive
- Encrypts all data in transit and at rest
- Never shares your files with third parties
- Offers self-hosted / on-premise options for Enterprise customers
Where is my data stored?
Buda stores metadata about your files (names, paths, relationships) but not the full file content. Full content is only accessed when answering questions.
Enterprise customers can choose self-hosted deployment for complete data control.
Features
Which drives does Buda support?
Buda has its own built-in Drive for file storage. You can upload files directly and organize them in Spaces.
Cloud drive integrations (Google Drive, OneDrive) are on the roadmap.
What are Spaces?
Spaces are workspaces where you organize your files and Agents. Each Space has its own Drive, Agents, and settings—great for separating projects, teams, or clients.
What are Skills?
Skills are specialized capabilities you can attach to an Agent. They define what tools and knowledge the Agent has access to—for example, file analysis, web browsing, or custom workflows.
Skills are configured per Agent, not per user.
What are Channels?
Channels let your Agents connect to messaging platforms so your team can interact with them directly:
- Slack

- Discord
- Feishu / Lark
- WeCom
- Microsoft Teams
Can I invite my team?
Yes. Plus and Pro plans support team collaboration. Each Agent you purchase includes one human member slot — so purchasing 5 Agents lets you invite 5 team members.
What tools can Agents use?
Agents on paid plans can use:
- Browser: Browse the web and interact with websites
- Terminal: Run shell commands in a sandboxed environment
- Git: Clone repos, commit, and push code
- Automations: Schedule recurring tasks
Free plan Agents have access to the core Agent only (no Browser / Terminal / Git).

What is a Space, and how is it different from a User Account?
Your User Account is your personal login identity (email + password). A Space is the billing and organizational unit — think of it as a company entity. One Space holds all your Agents, files, team members, and a shared credit balance.
You can belong to multiple Spaces with one User Account (e.g. your own startup and a client's workspace). Each Space is billed independently.
Unlike personal AI tools that charge per user, Buda charges per Space — so your whole team shares one plan.
How much does Buda cost?
Free: $0/month — 2 Agents, 30 credits/day, 1 GB Space Drive
Plus: $20/agent/month (or $17 billed annually)

Are credits per Agent or per Space?
Credits are pooled at the Space level — not capped per Agent. Each Agent you purchase adds its monthly allowance to the Space's shared pool.
Example: 10 Pro Agents = 10 × 20,000 = 200,000 credits/month shared across all Agents in the Space.
What are Credits?
Credits are the unit for AI usage. Each AI model call consumes credits based on the number of tokens processed. Free plan users get 30 credits/day. Paid plans add a monthly credit allowance per Agent to the Space's shared pool.
What's the difference between Monthly Credits and Balance Credits?
Monthly Credits are included in your plan and reset each billing cycle — unused credits don't carry over.
Balance Credits are added via top-up purchases or Reward recharges. They never expire and are never cleared on reset.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription anytime. No long-term contracts required.
Usage
How do I ask better questions?
Be specific:

What if Buda can't find an answer?
Buda will tell you if it can't find relevant files. Try:
- Rephrasing your question
- Being more specific
- Checking if the file exists in your Drive
Can Buda create or edit files?
Buda can create and write files in your Drive when using the Terminal or coding tools. For document editing (DOCX, PDF), read-only analysis is the current default.

What file types does Buda support?
Buda supports:
- Documents: PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD
- Spreadsheets: XLSX, CSV
- Presentations: PPTX
- Images: JPG, PNG
- Code files: Most common programming languages
Does Buda work offline?
No. Buda requires an internet connection to access your Drive and process questions.
