Spoiler:

With the current events... Having the Mexican be the murderer of Bradley was tasteless.

Wonderful game!

Great demo really enjoyed it definitely looking forward to play more of your games

super short, wish it was longer. love this type of game, 10/10

Great stuff here! I've played a bunch of other stuff like this, but this is the only one that's managed to captivate me for the whole thing- usually I get bored and start skimming. I even read along. Fun stuff. The perfect difficulty too- hard enough that it was satisfying to get right, but easy enough that I didn't need to think too hard.

It doesn't seem to be working on windows when I launch the .exe

Do I need to do something with the .pck file?

love it <3

Looking forward to the full release!

Nice design 👌

Relogged into my account just to say how much I adored this demo, I even checked out your other stuff + wishlisted. Hope your development continues <3

So excited for the full release! Had tons of fun trying to piece together each crime. Great job!

I need help I don't know how to get passed the 1st thing It says I have 1 clue still I am right but when I change something it doesn't make sense or it says I have 2 clues wrong

where are you in the game? who died

the 1st part of the game like the 1st case that's where I was

Always crash when i open it T_T

This game is outstanding! From the moody, retro aesthetic to the brilliantly layered mystery puzzles. I genuinely felt like a detective unravelling a dark Hollywood conspiracy haha.

The art style is immersive and I could tell the artist was attentive to every detail, and the clue tracking details makes every piece of evidence feel meaningful. Plus, seeing the developers actively refine the gameplay speaks volumes. Can't wait for the full release. 💓💫

Loved how you turned some letters into bold to match the style in the game lol

Looking forward to the full game! Wishlisted on Steam!

I started the game but it plays the music and crashes immediately. Please solve the issue

This game has potential, but stuck at the Patrick Raven case. Perhaps I will replay it and crack it. Perhaps I may watch yT replays (EDIT: I did and closed it).

SPOILER ALERT: I only played a demo, and I concede that this review is very harsh. But here goes.

One thing is certain: the way you interact with the evidence and arrange it to close a case is far from polished: you have to keep going back and forth between your casebook and the facts (viz, "Keywords") of the crime scene is a hassle. Especially if you have a bunch of keywords all over your casebook but you can't make sense of where you got them from.

The Patrick Raven case (mission 2) exemplifies just how annoying this can be. Many of these keywords are sometimes out of context. Or, how does a threat by the deceased to kill someone with a gun  "shoot" inspire you to believe that the placement of roles in a production (a  "shoot") had a bearing in the case? and why is it that I have to get the party invitation to get the keyword "role", but I can't get it from a letter taken from Keller's blasted out person, even though this is no less relevant than its place and context in the entire mission? this is an utter non sequitur.

On the strength of how there are no reminders of where you got your clues or keywords (cluewords????) whatsoever I would not recommend this game, not unless the devs paid you Robuxxx or $$$$$.

To Devs: Suggest (re)playing Phantom Doctrine to get a feel of how better to organise the user interface to better help people whose memory is bad, otherwise this is going to be little more than a point and click hassle.  This game is  NOT how most cops, detectives and spies do their sleuth work.

im also stuck on the patrick raven case

(1 edit)

are you also missing a name? or more like two.. can't find it, I pretty much have the whole story outside of the wife's name EDIT: it's in red text on the casting list. wish uninspected evidence was a bit more visible as not fully done, gen thought it was greyed out

I can feel your pain bub. HINT: the keyword you need to get it done is in one of the LEAST likeliest places. You will simply just have to search everything, even anything that isn't directly connected to it. Infuriating? yes. Illogical? definitely when you realise where you get this keyword from. But unfortunately that is how the cookie is crumbling, maybe I should just play This Is The Police or Phantom Doctrine instead.
I understand that this is just a "first version" but it is feeling more and more like a proto-pre-alpha version than what should be a public beta. If I were an investor I'd be having second thoughts about letting the devs play with my money.

demo was great looking forward to the full game

FIRE GAME

It's been a long time since I've played a point-and-click game. The art here immediatly caught my eye. This is amazing work! I filled the survey by the end of the demo, but I'll leave one of my suggestions here also: I hope for more puzzle mechanics besides just reading docs and recollecting events on a notebook. Good luck on the development. Can't wait for more.

My mouse keeps flashing between my default mouse and the costom game one. If this can't be solved then an option to turn off the custom mouse in settings would be good.

Is this game based on Killer Frequency? It just has a similar vibe.

Great game!!! ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ)

Loved the art style and the gameplay

Really liked how we have to pay attention to the details to fully understand whats going on

Cant wait for the full game (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

10/10 super enjoyable.

Nice game, though it often happened that I found just enough clues to get the right conclusion even though I didn't know all the facts, for example in the last case of the demo I couldn't name all the guests and there was a clue I couldn't find, but I still managed to solve the case with the words I had.

I absolutely loved the story! The playthrough was smooth, the graphics and art style gave me chills too which made the game even more enjoyable! A definite 10/10, good job!

Another banger by BRANE - Super pumped for the full game, already wishlisted on Steam!! The artstyle and narrative is excellent. 5/5

The demo was incredible! The game was easy and captivating. I liked the background music and the plot! It's cool how the stories are connected. Good luck with developing the game!
