why does a childrens fantasy where jeff combs in a cape does magic tricks on dinosaur skeletons have an full-frontal s&m blood sacrifice? charles "entertainment" band just cant help it
Doctor Mordrid is basically a take on Doctor Strange, but with the huge difference that this time, the doctor is more... drid. And also, he is not a doctor. It's pretty good! It's got Jeffrey Combs, sorcery, apartment drama, Brian Thompson, re-animated dinosaur skeletons, Mordrid stabbing himself in the stomach with glass knives. What more do you need in a movie? Oh, and it also has a "philosopher's stone", which further cements my theory that J.K. Rowling is a huge fan of Charles Band productions. She also took the name Harry Potter from the movie Troll, and I'm pretty sure I came across one more example another time, but I can't remember it.
must a movie be good? is it not enough to see jeffrey combs get into a fight with joe exotic?

The Bands’ take on the Sorcerer Supreme is a lot more my speed than anything that Marvel/Disney has put out with the character.
Jeffrey Combs has more charisma in his little toes than Benedict Cumberbatch has in his entire body.
💀🩸October is for Horror || Movie 17🩸💀
Before Marvel superhero movies were the only things being made in Hollywood anymore, Doctor Mordrid was the closest we ever came to a proper Doctor Strange movie. "Based on an original idea" it stresses in the opening credits...sure Charles, sure. Who came up with it..."Fran Lee?" Jeffrey Combs in a rare heroic role as sorcerer supreme lives in his New York Sanctum and protects humanity from evil sorcerer Kabal (Brian Thompson). It's a bit slow going and much less wizardry than you might like to have seen, because, as you discover, they shot their entire special effects wad on the final battle and some pretty fun giant stop-motion goodness. Kabal has a couple metal head disciples, Adrian and Irene -…
