W. Howard Sullivan
W. Howard Sullivan was a multi-bench judge for the County, Family and Surrogate's courts of Chenango County, New York. He also served as the supervising judge for the Justice Courts of the 6th Judicial District of New York. He became a County Court judge in 1999, following his election, and was appointed supervising judge in 2008.[1] He retired in December of 2012.[2]
Education
Sullivan received his B.B.A. degree from LeMoyne College in 1964 and his J.D. degree from the Temple University School of Law in 1970.[1]
Career
Sullivan spent most of his early legal career as a judge of the Norwich City Court, where he served from 1971 until he became a County Court judge in 1999. During this time, he also worked as a tax attorney for the State of New York (1974-1976) and a Chenango County District Attorney (1976). In addition, he has taught as an adjunct professor at the State University of New York at Morrisville from 1975 to 1998 and at Binghamton University since 2003. He became a Chenango County Court judge in 1999 and a supervising judge of the 6th Judicial District in 2008.[1]
