Pedro V. Castillo is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He joined the court on January 24, 2020.[1]

Early life and education

Castillo was born in Mexico and raised in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. He received a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law.[1]

Professional career

Castillo worked as a deputy federal public defender for 27 years before becoming a federal magistrate judge.[1]
