Julie A. Edwards was a judge on the Ohio Fifth District Court of Appeals. She first took office on February 10, 1999 and retired at the end of 2012.[1][2] In 2010, Edwards served as the presiding judge for the court.[3]

Education

Edwards received her B.A. degree from the Ohio State University and her J.D. degree from the Ohio State University College of Law.[1]

Career

Before she became a judge, Julie Edwards worked as legal counsel to the Stark County Bureau of Support and, at another time, as the Chief of the Juvenile Division in the Stark County Prosecutor's Office. She then joined the Stark County Family Court, Court of Common Pleas, as a Chief Referee and became a judge on this Court in January of 1989.[1]

Edwards defeated Libertarian Robert Brent Vollmer and Democrat Kristine Beard in the general election. [3][5]
