Duane E. Hoffmeyer is the chief judge of the Third District of Iowa. He serves on District 3B. He was appointed to this court in January 2001. On January 1, 2008, he was appointed chief judge.[1] He was most recently retained in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[2]

Hoffmeyer was retained to the 3B District Court with 75.8 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2]

Hoffmeyer received his bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1979 and his J.D. from Creighton Law School in 1982.[1]
