Dominic R. Massaro
Dominic R. Massaro is a justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 12th Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 2008 and became a certificated judge in 2010. He had served as an acting justice of this court since 1987.[1][2]
Education
Massaro received his B.S. and M.P.A. degrees from New York University, his M.S. degree from Long Island University and his J.D. degree from the New York Law School.[1]
Career
Massaro began his career as an arbitrator of the New York City Civil Court. He also worked: as a Commissioner for the New York City Commission on Human Rights; for the U.S. Selective Service System, New York State Appeals Board; as an Administrative Commissioner for the New York Division of Human Rights; for the Agency for Voluntary Service (ACTION), United States Regional Direction; and as an Administrative Law Judge in New York City.
Massaro began his judicial career in 1987 when he was appointed to the New York Court of Claims. He also became an Acting Supreme Court Justice in 1987. He was reappointed to the Court of Claims in 1996 and 2005. He left that court in 2009, after his appointment to Justice of the Supreme Court in 2008.[1]
