"I found this game at a garage sale...

No, not really. I became friends with Bradley, one of Scot's kids, not too long ago. He was one of the prime beta-testers for the Night Watch at Freddie's series, so naturally I asked him if there was any early content he knew about for the games that he could share, mostly as a joke. Imagine my surprise when not only did he go straight to Scot and ask, but got permission to send over a fully intact prototype build of Night Watch at Freddie's 1!

According to Bradley, I've got the full go-ahead to release this to the public, as long as I let people know to support the official releases too! The prototype build is surprisingly stable, though if you want to play it yourself, chances are you'll get blindsided if you try to play this game like the 'real' Night Watch at Freddie's. You have been warned!"

"Night Watch at Freddie's: The July 5th Archive" is a re-imagining of the first Five Nights at Freddy's game, exploring an alternative timeline where the games took a completely different route. Explore a recently unveiled prototype of developer Scot Cawthorn's hit indie game, where things are strangely different from the final game people are familiar with!

NOTE: The July 5th Archive is NOT a 1:1 recreation of the first Five Nights game, it is entirely different fundamentally in terms of gameplay and visuals, and as a result you will not need to own the original game to play it! Any naming similarities to that of real people seen in the game are purely for the sake of parody and fun.

lowkey like this game and i also completed it well atleast the first 5 nights and overtime but yeah the game is actually very good! i also actually like the story of this game where us (the player) was friends with bradly and asked scot if he could send a over a fully intact prototype build of night watch at freddie's so the game is good!

As this is a beta of "Night Watch at Freddie's" I wonder what the final game would be like?

yeah,good question

Do you think you can reupload The Cog Forever Spinning?

I found a minor visual bug. If you activate Aggressive Mode on Debug Mode, upon quitting back to the main menu, you will see the Normal Mode difficulty score, now coloured in red, as if that was your actual score on Aggressive Mode, although it isn't.

Hello Mrs. Avocado

I like this game a lot even if it's too hard, but that's not what I wanna talk about.

During a night, I was dealing with Foxi until a weird dark figure appeared, which caused to make my game to get super slow/laggy and almost immediately my game crashed.

I have no footage of this creature and  there's no one who has docummented this online, so I thought you could answer if this is meant to happen since it kinda looked like it have ears (let's say rabbit ears as an example).

Thanks for reading and I'll wait for an answer :3

i'll record my playthrough and if this happens, i'll send the footage

Great Job! By the description you definitely discovered a secret character. I did not encounter him, and I don't think he is in any gameplay videos either. You can find his render on the ester egg video by indie fuel on youtube. I remember seeing him on the discord server when I was still on it.

that could be Shadow Bonnie. i head he crashes the game when you see him.

Hope someone makes a fangame of this based in the nickelodeon hq (Get it?)

The game is very well made.

saw someone play this on youtube and saw how interesting this looks. cant wait to play it

This game is really well made. But It's just that Benny and Chickadee could sync up at the doors making it a guarantee death. It's just really hard for me to deal with them at the same time.
Also one question, when I thought I dealt with Benny and then closed the door, I got jumpscared and died. Is there suppose to be some timing I have to do? Anyways, good game though.

Hope you have a nice day :)

(1 edit)

The way to stop Benny and Chikadee from syncing up is to look at them on their respective hallway cameras because that slows them down. For example look a Chikadee more than Benny if both of them arrive to the hallways at the same time so you slow her down, then Benny gets to your door first then you deal with him and then deal with Chikadee. Or you can do the opposite. It is also explained in the dev logs you see when playing the nights. Make sure you read them.

As for the other thing make sure you keep the light on Benny all the way until he leaves. Maybe you turned the light off before he actually left. Don't turn off the light yourself it should turn off on its own if you scared Benny away successfully.

Anyways I wish you well, God bless.

(1 edit)

Thanks :D

I don't usually get scared easily, but this game gave me a lot of frights haha, it's really good.

this game was fun (im making a part 2 rn)

the sound design in this game is literally perfect, huge props!!!

Going on the scot website from time to time to check if there is a new teaser for the sequel.

I'm kind of hooked (not by foxie).

Do you think people will make a page to archive ScotProductions' teasers?

I mean maybe, If someone is interested enough... When I find a teaser I just save it in my files and that's it.

were there any other teasers before the maintenence one? if so can you send them?

I keep an eye on official pages, but I don’t have any confirmed information or permission to share anything. If there’s news, it’ll come from the creator directly.

i was talking mostly about the scotproductions.net website, not actual teasers

Hey, I actually have a question... regarding how Benny and Chickadee can sometimes sync up onto your doors. Is there a mechanic in the game that actually makes them do that deliberately, and tag team you up? Or is it mostly up to chance, timings, and you stalling them that ends up allowing that to happen naturally?

(+1)

Hey, I'm not the dev of the game but if it helps I will try to explain to you how they work from my experience playing the game. It probably depends on who moved first, or one of them is standing still while the other one is moving quicker, if chicadee decided to skip the kitchen or not, if you're stalling on of them on the hallway but then the other one arrives while you do it, when is their movement opportunity etc. So yea I think its pretty much up to chance if they gang up on you at the same time but designed in a way you can still deal with it, if it happens.

Ahh, I see I see... I know they're manageable, yeah, I was just wondering if there was any sorta rubberbanding to force it to happen. Anyways, thanks for the reply, pal! Say, if it's alright to ask... do you know how the scoring works when you deal with Freddie? I made a post here some time ago, and I basically figured out how you get score every night, with all the other characters. However, Freddie (and in a way, the nights he's active in) works in ways that don't seem very consistent at first glance.

Sorry I cant help you with that one. When Im playing I only focus on beating the night. Didn't pay much attention to the score...

Ah, it's alright. Thanks anyways!

Hello dear devs, i'v completed this game 100% and i would like to give out my thought about it.

So, first of all, the game overall was decent, it had that FNaF 1 uncanny feel to it which makes sense of course. The animatronics were designed purposely to create an uneasy feeling and atmosphere, especially that damn duck. Gameplay wise, it was good, it reverted FNaF 1 mechanics which is such a unique idea, the animatronics AI (even with aggressive mode) was kinda predictable but that's maybe after playing for a while and getting a hang of it. Story wise i don't know what was the point of creating the whole "game inside a game" plot, i wish we had a bit of an explanation on the golden freddy statue thing. because i feel like the copy of this FNaF made by Scot was haunted maybe? i don't know....

But all and all, you all should be fully proud of making this game because it slaps. good luck on your future projects :3

P.S. sorry if my wording is terrible im tired rn

The game is great. Will there be an Android version?

Wait a minute, didn't you make Graveyard Shift? I LOVE GRAVEYARD SHIFT!!! :D

Hey AvocadoDreams, this is hrrhshrs

I left a review a few days ago, but I wanted to follow up here too.
I really want to apologize again for how I handled things in the Discord server. Looking back, I realize I could’ve been kinder and more understanding in how I expressed myself.
If you’d ever be open to it, I’d really appreciate a quick DM so I can apologize properly

but if not, that’s completely okay.
I truly enjoy what you make, and I just want to leave things on good terms. Wishing you and your team the best with your projects and the Night Watch at Freddy’s series!

Forgot to leave a review but this is one of the best FNAF Fangames I've ever played!

solved by me first! the rest is up to other people to do! i cannot read the stuff!

i have solved the image at the scot games website  revealing some very map and text! likely to be Night watch at freddy's 2

Hot damn...

Hey, I know this has nothing to do with the game, I think I have a Lost Media game of YOURS, I have re-uploaded it in case you are interested, here is the link: https://gamejolt.com/games/stuckwithbearlostmedia/1025299

(+2)

Oh wow, I'm surprised anyone even saw Stuck With Bear lmao

(+1)

I had it on my PC and I remembered it when I watched some of your old games.

I also have FiveNights, that game of yours inspired by the FNAF beta :P

If you don't mind, I could also reupload it because I haven't seen anyone who has it.

Hey, could you add a mechanic for the raccoon, like when it appears on the table in the living room, we can use the bell on the table to scare it away, using it 7 times, it would be a cool mechanic.

That would be a funny idea but this game will probably remain untouched. Maybe it'll appear for the sequel, who knows.

could it be

I actually thought this was an actual Prototype of fnaf, honestly great job.

I love the game, it's my latest obsession, but i genuenely hate foxie in hard mode. I despise her as much as balloon boy

For clarification, how many stars are there in this game? I know there’s 2 stars for beating Nights 1-5 + Overtime, and 2 more for doing the same thing but on aggressive mode, but how many can you get in debug mode? I’m seeing that you can complete the max mode with all challenges selected for a star, yet you don’t retroactively get the star for simply beating max mode by itself without the extra challenges, or possible other stars by doing the max mode with only one of the challenges selected. So, how many stars are there for 100% completion?

6 stars in total!

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarity. If you can answer one more question, does the digital boy challenge unlock anything (like beating 6/20 aggressive with it on), or is the digital boy mode just a bonus thing?

Digital Boy Mode is purely a joke mode, it doesn't unlock anything.

This game was hard but I was determined to beat it! Great game though!

may not have won but i still enjoyed the game!

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

Good game ever! 👌😎

This is genuinely the single coolest FNaF project I have ever played. Nothing has ever captured the feeling the first game gave me my first playthrough of it but this did. The art style, the sound design, and the overall Scott charm this game has is so delightful, I cannot wait for the sequel! Everything from not being able to tell if the cupcake blinked at me to the teasers on Scot Productions have allowed me to relive so many memories!

(5 edits)

So, this is honestly one of the coolest projects I've seen! Everything about it feels both nostalgic and uncanny, from the visuals to the gameplay, it all just works!

One thing I was curious about was the score, and how you gain points... if it's fine for me to do this, I'm gonna share what I found:

- At the end of every night, the remaining breaker stress you'd be able to amount (aka, 100 - current breaker stress value) is multiplied by 10 and added to the score. Finishing the night after blacking out the breaker means no bonus. I'm not sure what happens if the blackout happens due to Freddie.

- Every time you successfully deal with Benny or Chickadee at the doors, you gain 50 points.

- You gain 5 points for every second (more or less) you spend stalling Benny or Chickadee in their respective last cameras.

- You gain 30 points every time you successfully ward off Foxie.

- Dolly gives you jacksh*t

Now, Freddie is the only weird one, and on top of that, Nights 4 and 5 seem inconsistent with how you gain points. Like, at first I thought you gained 50 or 60 points every time you scanned Freddie in the garage, plus a bonus related to the total amount of times he moved... but it doesn't seem 100% consistent. On top of that, from some footage I saw, Nights 4 and 5 just give you extra points besides the current night score and the breaker bonus. The value isn't consistent either, and sometimes it's just non-existent. So, if it's ok to ask... what's up with that?

Edit: Ok, so I may have figured out a few more things:

- The unexplainable bonus on later nights might actually come from some scans of the garage while Freddie was somewhere else. Every time the garage was scanned with nothing in it during a night, it seems to add a 100 point bonus at the end.

- Furthermore, a playthrough I saw had a 40 point bonus at the end of the night after blacking out and having Freddie play his jingle. I'm not sure if that's the actual reason, but it seems to be the case, I could be wrong.

- The only thing left is the point value you get from dealing with Freddie and I'll be honest, I think it actually depends on how slow or fast you are at pressing the Scan button when he is in the garage. I'm probably wrong, but the longer you take, the greater the point bonus, and if that's the case, I assume it only increases by 1 per "second" (the same time unit as Benny and Chickadee's stalling bonus), starting from a base value of 50. I assumed it was related to the amount of laughs Freddie did before going to the garage, but after counting them, it doesn't seem to be the case.

its not Graveyard Shift at Freddy's, but I'll still play it

1.0 was re-released a few weeks ago, if you want to play that while you wait for 2.0 you can find it here: https://gamejolt.com/games/Welcometoyourgrave/1012832

cheers. also pls keep the 1.0 models in 2.0, there more scary, especially bonnie

Looks very great and unique!! congrats and thank you for delivering us this masterpiece ^^

died a few times on night 4 but managed to beat it! :3

(1 edit) (+1)

Finally 100%'ed the game WOO HOOOOO!!!

Edit: I also beat 6/20 Aggressive again with the pixel filter on, I forgor its name lol

(+2)

This game has quickly become one of my top 3 favorite FNaF fan games, and I've played A LOT of them.  I never expected to love it so much...

The mechanics are just purely genius, playing the game never really feels unfair once you pick up on the flow of things, which unfortunately for me, was a bit later than I would have preferred. There's a lot of seemingly small things this game does with the gameplay that are actually revolutionary in the grand scheme of things. The cameras are especially clever, I love it when you have to watch them on the cams to know when they'll arrive at your office, and not have to use a dumb office light or anything like that. I could genuinely glaze the gameplay for hours, it's so damn well-made. Everything flows just perfectly, great job for nailing this shii.

I also like how pretty much everything in this is just FNaF 1 turned on its head. Like how the doors function, where you have to open them to defend against the animatronics, kinda like FNaF 4.

I'm currently on my way to 100% it. I just gotta do Aggressive Mode Overtime and Aggressive 6/20.

I really hope this'll get the recognition it deserves, cuz right now, literally nobody's playing it. I recommend you put it up on GameJolt ngl.

(1 edit)

Did you ever encounter golden freddie in your playthrough? I have seen both benny taking his mask off and the endos in the kitchen, but not that

No, I don't think I ever did

Thank you so much, I'm really happy you enjoyed it!! To tell you the truth though I have no intentions of uploading this to gamejolt, I've kind of moved on from that site entirely due to various reasons.

I don't mind this missing out on the attention that this would receive from being on gamejolt, not only is that never the goal for my projects anyway but having a lot of eyes on me really stresses me out as someone with chronic anxiety. I tend to not really interact with the broader community outside of my game releases anymore for that reason, even if I probably should.

Regardless, thank you so much for the kind words!! It really means a lot and it really helped keep my motivation flowing for the second game. Cheers!
