Roll out toy fans to 2026 JoeFest Toy and Comic Convention this June 26-28, 2026 in Augusta, GA to meet superstar voice actor Dan Gilvezan!!! Since 1975 iconic legend Dan Gilvezan has given voice to characters such as Spider-Man from Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, Miguel O'Hara of Spider-Man 2099, , Bumblebee of Transformers, and Slipstream of GI Joe!!! Do not miss him!

Gilvezan was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Webster University with a B.A. in drama and later earned a master's degree from The Catholic University of America. Soon afterwards he began touring with the National Players company in Washington D.C. From the mid-to-late 1970s, he appeared in plays in summer stock, dinner theater, and children's theater. In 1973 Gilvezan performed in Wayside Theatre's touring group along with Kathy Bates.

In 1980, while doing an on-camera commercial he met an agent from The Tisherman agency and signed on with them. His first voice-over role was as Spider-Man in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, which continued for three seasons.

In 1984, he voiced Bumblebee on Transformers. According to an interview in the Transformers Collectors Club magazine, Gilvezan auditioned for both the part of Spike Witwicky and the part of Bumblebee in The Transformers, but was only given the role of Bumblebee because the producers did not want the two characters to be played by the same person.[3] Dan Gilvezan also voiced Outback, Hot Spot and Snapdragon on the show and reprised Bumblebee in the 1986 feature film The Transformers: The Movie.

Gilvezan also worked on Jem, providing a few guest roles on various episodes, though he did play (with a British accent) a recurring character called Sean Harrison, one of Kimber's many crushes, who almost proposed to her at the end of the second season.

Later, he voiced Slip Stream on G.I. Joe, Brick Bradley/Bugman on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for two episodes, as well as Dirk Courage in Spiral Zone. Gilvezan also played Cooler in Hanna-Barbera's Pound Puppies TV series, Questar on Dino-Riders, Rolf in The Legend of Prince Valiant and Henry Mitchell and Ruff the Dog on the short-lived The All-New Dennis the Menace series.

Gilvezan returned to the Spider-Man Universe to lend his voice to Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. In an interview with 2D-X.com, he stated "After a 25 year hiatus, I feel I finally have a grasp of the character. Seriously, the whole experience has been a delight." Gilvezan later reprised his role as Bumblebee in the video game Transformers: Devastation.

Gilvezan voiced Pat Dugan in the direct-to-video film Justice League: Gods and Monsters.

Gilvezan is also a published author, having written books such as Drowned in the Grenadine, a fictional story of a failed actor seeking to make a comeback, and Bumblebee and Me: Life as a G1 Transformer, an autobiographical recollection of his work on the original Transformers animated series and its effect on his life and career.

He has also guest starred on many television shows, including The Bernie Mac Show, NYPD Blue, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Family Ties, ALF, thirtysomething, Punky Brewster, Archie Bunker's Place, Newhart, Who's the Boss?, Moonlighting, Normal, Ohio, Perfect Strangers, Sisters, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Step by Step, Evening Shade, Alice, Bette, Bones and Boston Legal.

Gilvezan played a reporter on two episodes of Hill Street Blues, appeared as Kent Beudine on several episodes of Diagnosis Murder and starred as Skip Seville on She-Wolf of London. Between 1981 and 1988, he appeared in commercials as the spokesperson for Jack in the Box restaurants, attempting to compare their menu items to those of McDonald's and other fast-food chains, to no avail; hence the slogan of "There's No Comparison" was used at the time.

Lisa Raggio began her career performing in some of New York’s finest nightclubs: The Copacabana, Reno Sweeney’s, Dangerfield’s, the Hippopotamus, and the Grand Finale.

On Broadway, she has appeared in The Magic Show, Grease, and Got Tu Go Disco. In addition to touring the country with Grease, Annie, Suds, and Lunch, Lisa has performed in the following Los Angeles productions: Women Behind Bars, Nunsense, Twist of Fate, Annie, Rock Candy, and the Joni Mitchell Project. She has also performed in productions of Bingo, Something’s Afoot, Steel Magnolias, and Fiddler on the Roof.

On television, she appeared as a series regular on Private Benjamin. Some of her other TV credits include: NYPD Blue, ER, Murphy Brown, Coach, and Sister, Sister, You Ruined My Life, Married with Children, Days of Our Lives, Young and the Restless. You can hear her voice in many animated projects: Animaniacs, GI Joe, Ah! Real Monsters, The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, Monsters, Inc., Fievel Goes West, The Little Mermaid, and Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?

Keone Young is a well known actor being in the film/tv business for over 50 years.

He was the voice of the original Storm Shadow in GI Joe.

He recently starred in Ultraman Rising as the villain, Dr Onda.

Also the voice of Commander Jun Sato in Star Wars Rebels and Jeong Jeong the fire master in Avatar. Grandpa in American Dragon, Sensei in Young Justice, Kaz in HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi, Sasaki Kojiro in Record of Ragnarok, as well as hundreds of voices in episodic tv such as Teen Titans, Sofia the First, Ultimate Spider Man, Batman, Teenage MutantNinja Turtles, Samurai Jack, Naruto, Kung Fu Panda, etc.,etc.

In Video games he was Chen Stormstout in World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria. As well as Joe Hiyabusa in Ninja Gaiden,The Monk in Ghosts of Tsushima and Silver Samurai in Wolverine and the X Men. With many other games to his credit.
On Camera he is known as Mr Wu in Deadwood. Buck Bokai in Deep Space 9 and Don Kim in Crank1 and 2. As well as The Brady Bunch Movie, Black Rain, Dude Where’s My Car, Return to Halloweentown,  and tv shows like Sons of Anarchy, Golden Girls, Man in the High Castle, NYPD Blue, True Blood, and hundreds of others.

Mr Young is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii is based in Los Angeles and New York and is looking forward to meeting his fans around the world.

JoeFest Toy and Comic Convention is proud to announce comic book LEGEND Rod Whigham will be joining us on June 27, 2028 ( Saturday only ), during 2026 JoeFest Toy and Comic Convention which is June 26-28, 2028 in Augusta, GA.

Rod Whigham is a commercial and comic book artist. He began his career in the mid-1980s, drawing 'G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero' for Marvel Comics. Other Marvel titles he worked on are 'Psi-Force', 'Kickers Inc', 'Conan' and 'Ghost Rider'. During the 1980s he was also present at other companies, such as Renegade Press (an assistant on 'Flaming Carrot'), First Publishing ('The Badger', 'Team Yankee') and AC Comics ('Bolt').

He moved over to DC Comics in the early 1990s as an artist for 'Doc Savage' and the company's 'Star Trek' titles. He also drew 'The Shadow', 'Justice League International' and 'The Flash'. He was also back at Marvel as an artist for 'The Punisher'. In 2008 he succeeded Frank McLaughlin as the artist of the comic strip 'Gil Thorp', which he now makes with Neal Rubin for Tribune Media Syndicate. Whigham is also an art instructor. He also has created covers for the newest IDW Comics line for GI Joe.

Rod Whigham is known for his many years of GI Joe A Real American Hero as the interior artist, bringing Larry Hama's stories to life. This is truly a limited special occasion to meet Rod right here at 2026 JoeFest.
