We finally finished the fireplace at our Tefft St home. The fireplace went from white painted bricks to a two coat stucco brushed down white finish with a Spanish Decorative surround. The Mantel was made from a 5"x9" peice of Douglas Fir. It was cut down to 6' 6" and the cut pieces were made into the corbels. It was skip planed and hammered a bit to give it a rustic appearance. We then coated it with Fiddes & Sons Supreme Wax Polish in a Jacobean color and hand buffed it to the desired...
